Information you provide directly:

• Full name
• Phone number (collected in E.164 format for SMS notifications)

Information generated through your use of the platform:

• Ride history — records of rides you have requested or taken through the platform, including dates, times, and status
• Account activity — actions taken within the app such as ride requests, confirmations, and cancellations

Information we do not collect:

• Payment information — all payments between riders and drivers occur outside the platform
• Real-time GPS or precise location data
• Government-issued identification

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To create and maintain your rider profile
• To facilitate ride scheduling and communication between you and your driver
• To send you SMS notifications about your rides via our SMS service provider
• To display your name and contact information to your designated driver within the platform
• To maintain records of ride activity for both you and your driver
• To improve the platform and troubleshoot technical issues
• To comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not use your information for advertising purposes and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. How We Share Your Information

We share your personal information only in the following limited circumstances:

With your driver: Your name, phone number, and ride history are visible to the driver who invited you to the platform. This sharing is necessary for the platform to function and is the purpose for which your information was collected.

With service providers: We use the following third-party service providers who may process your personal information on our behalf in order to operate the platform:

• Supabase — our database and backend infrastructure provider. Your profile information and ride history are stored on Supabase's servers.
• Twilio — our SMS notification provider. Your phone number is transmitted to Twilio solely for the purpose of sending you ride-related SMS notifications.
• Vercel — our web hosting provider. Standard server logs may include technical information about your use of the platform.

We do not authorize these service providers to use your personal information for any purpose other than providing services to RideBetter LLC.

For legal reasons: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of RideBetter LLC, our users, or others.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your rider account is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes. Ride history records may be retained for up to 12 months following account deletion for recordkeeping and dispute resolution purposes.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include encrypted data storage and transmission through our infrastructure providers. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information and encourage you to contact us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access — you may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction — you may request that we correct inaccurate information in your profile
• Deletion — you may request deletion of your account and associated personal information, subject to the retention exceptions noted above
• Opt-out of SMS — you may opt out of SMS notifications at any time by replying STOP to any message we send, or by contacting us directly

7. Children's Privacy

The RideBetter platform is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete that information.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app and update the effective date at the top of this policy. Your continued use of the platform after the effective date of the updated policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.

9. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Kansas. Any disputes arising under this policy shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Johnson County, Kansas.
